This is a five drawer Hamilton container missing a GSA red label on the control drawer. David was called out on this container, the customer had X-07 that failed. After David drilled this safe, he noticed The control drawer had several issues that needed to be addressed before it could be put back into service. The control drawer was replaced at one time, the color was gray before David inspected it.

 Prior to inspection, the contents have to be removed. Anything attached to the container, like labels, stickers, has to be removed also. The drawers, cookie sheet, and drawer suspension is removed also. This gains access to the inside of the container to check for any modifications.
 This container has one cookie sheet for each drawer, however on other containers they may be absent, depending on who is the manufacture and what year it was made. On some containers the cookie sheet is welded into place.

Inspecting the Protection Label and the Contract Label. They do not have to be on the control drawer to pass inspection. This is a Class 6, built 1992, model is C6-5. The protection label states this falls under FF-L-358G.
Control drawer to be inspected, the X-09 lock has to be removed during the inspection. No modifications can be made to the container other than a repair under the dial and the repair falls under Federal Specification 809A. As you can see David painted the inside of the drawer.

Weight label, most GSA containers have a weight label.
This serial number is located on the container not just the control Drawer. Depending on the manufacture and year a container may have or not have one.

This container had not been modified in any way. Overall this container is in really good condition, a replacement GSA Red Label was attached to the control drawer. | |
